periodontal ligaments. Separate the periodontal fibers along the surface of the root using up and down
movements while GENTLY moving the blade around the root. Extract the tooth carefully to avoid
damaging the facial cortical plate.

Why do I need them?
They can help preserve the buccal plate which is required for further implant treatments

The OTA400 Periotomes come in four different blade configurations. We refer to them by Catalog
numbers, Gray-OTA302, Green-OTA350, Blue-OTA301 or Gold-OTA303.
The OTA300 set of 3 consists of a Gray, Blue and Gold Periotomes. The OTA400 set of 4 consists of a
Gray, Green, Blue and Gold.
The apical end of the Periotomes can be used for tapping.

DO NOT USE PERIOTOMES TO REMOVE TOOTH. This will cause the blade to BREAK!
Yellow and Blue Periotomes are indicated for buccal and lingual side of tooth
Gray and Green are indicated for the mesial and distal side of tooth.
The Periotomes are provided non-sterile.
All Periotomes must be sterilized prior to clinical use using standard autoclave procedures.
Periotomes are intended for single use only however, they generally last between 15 and 20
extractions before breaking.
